Military Information

All five federal academies (Air Force, Army, Navy, Merchant Marines and Coast Guard) will present information about their respective academy, the admissions requirements and process, on Wednesday February 22, 2012. All academies except the Coast Guard Academy require a nomination, and Congressional Staff will also be there to answer questions.

The evening meeting is for HS junior, and sophomore students and their parents. The formal presentations will begin at 7:00pm on Wednesday February 22nd in the Cardinal Gibbons HS Theater in Raleigh. Informal Q&A sessions will follow in the HS Cafeteria.

Career Fair

Calling All Career Professional, Your Expertise is NEEDED!!

Apex High School will be hosting a career fair on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 9:00 - 11:00 AM. Business volunteers are needed to speak to students about their career field.

This event will highlight local employers representing various career clusters and will be a win-win for both students and exhibitors. Students will learn about the skills and education they need to prepare them for career opportunities. Exhibitors will be able to showcase their places of employment, as well as, enable students to catch a glimpse of future career possibilities. Being an exhibitor allows you to help prepare students for a career in your organization, as well as, allowing them to see the significant impact you have on our local community.

People Helping People Scholarship

Attention seniors: Scholarship Interest forms are available in Student Services for the State Employees' Credit Union "People Helping People" Scholarship. Deadline to return scholarship interest form to Mrs. Loftin is April 19th, 2012. Please see criteria listed below:

  • Must be a current senior attending a NC public high school.
  • Must be a US citizen and resident of NC.
  • Must be accepted by one of the 16 UNC system universities. Attach acceptance letter(s).
  • Must have at least a 2.5 GPA.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership, excellence of character, integrity and community involveme

AHS tours for prospective parents and students
