The ASVAB Career Exploration Program is sponsored by the United States Armed Forces but in no way obligates students to a career in the military.*
The ASVAB is one of the most widely used multiple aptitude battery test evaluations in the world. The assessment measures the tester’s ability to learn new skills, is a predictor of success in job training and educational programs, and helps identify possible careers of interest.
Apex High School is excited to bring the ASVAB evaluation to our students on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 7:30 – 11:00 in the Apex High School Cafeteria! Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors can sign-up to take the ASVAB in Student Services.
When the students’ ASVAB results return, an ASVAB representative will meet with them (as a group) and help interpret their scores to make thoughtful decisions about their plans during and after high school.
Please email or call Cindy Allen, the Career Development Coordinator, with any questions (email@example.com or 919-387-2219).
*If an Apex High School student is interested in joining the military, recruiters from all branches are available (during lunches) to speak with at our school on a weekly basis. Students should see Student Services for the military recruiters’ schedule. Students planning to join the military are required to take the ASVAB.
