AOIT Receives Aldo Papone Award
The National Academy Foundation (NAF) honored recognized key alumni, advisory board members and leaders from Academies nationwide at its 2008 Annual Institute for Staff Development held in Orlando, Florida from July 8-11, 2008. The event brought together over 1,100 students, teachers, Academy directors and people from the corporate world for a week of professional training and development. The Academy of Information Technology (AOIT) at Apex High School received one of five Aldo Papone awards for leadership in Academy performance from the National Academy Foundation. Apex High School’s AOIT was recognized for its ongoing commitment to create meaningful experiences for students. The Academy also received $5000 as an award recipient.
