You are free to choose any Graduation Project topic you wish as long as your topic has been approved and you have a community mentor who agrees to work on it with you. A good way to decide on your topic is to consider your interests. You might choose an area in which you already have knowledge/skill that you want to broaden or you might decide to explore an area that is completely new to you. Each of these approaches has advantages and disadvantages.
Interest inventories are no-fail tests that are designed to help you think through your interests. What areas of interest such as goals, hobbies, artistic pursuits or careers did those experiences suggest? Are they applicable to your graduation project plans?
Apex High School website www.apexhigh.com provides a link to interest inventories you can take now. These interest surveys can be found under Career Services. The results of these inventories can be discussed with parents, friends, relatives, teachers, or counselors, to uncover good potential topics for your graduation project.
