Career and Technical Education Month
Posted Wednesday Jan 25, 2012Students and faculty at Apex High School will join others across the nation during the month of February to celebrate national Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month. This year’s theme is CTE: Careers Through Education. CTE Month provides CTE programs across the country an opportunity to demonstrate how CTE educates students to be college- and career- ready and prepares them for high-wage, high-demand career fields. Among the special activities scheduled are:
By partnering with the Apex business community, CTE programs are investing in students’ lives with the latest technology and skills that will prepare them to become successful employees as well as future leaders. At a time when job opportunity is so critical, CTE programs in our community are ensuring students are adequately equipped with the skills to successfully enter the workforce.

People Helping People Scholarship
Posted Thursday Jan 5, 2012Attention seniors: Scholarship Interest forms are available in Student Services for the State Employees' Credit Union "People Helping People" Scholarship. Deadline to return scholarship interest form to Mrs. Loftin is April 19th, 2012. Please see criteria listed below:
- Must be a current senior attending a NC public high school.
- Must be a US citizen and resident of NC.
- Must be accepted by one of the 16 UNC system universities. Attach acceptance letter(s).
- Must have at least a 2.5 GPA.
- Must have demonstrated leadership, excellence of character, integrity and community involvement
